I've been practicing psychology since 2004, when I graduated with my masters degree from UCA. I started off working in multiple non-profit organizations in Arkansas, then in Oklahoma and Kansas while working on my doctorate from the Univesity of Oklahoma.
A native of Conway, I returned to Arkansas to accept a Child / Adolescent Clinical Psychology Fellowship position in UAMS. After that year of specialized training, I left UAMS and joined a group practice. Later, I partnered with Mary Ekdahl, PhD, to start our own group practice, Arkansas Families First, LLC, which specializes in child and family services. Our clinic is now the largest mental health group practice in the state and attracts the best, most specialized providers. Arkansas Families First will celebrate 4 years on April 1st.
Our journey did not end here however. Utilizing the resources of Arkansas Families First, Dr. Ekdahl and I are now striving to develop a management service organization dedicated to private practices. One of the menu of services our new company offers is a statewide provider network, Gettherapy.com (1-888-therapy), which is dedicated to helping Arkansans', across the state, locate and quickly schedule appointments with the best mental health professionals in the state.
Who am I?
I'm a father of two daughters, a husband, and nature lover. I enjoy seeing progress in therapy, finding the right diagnosis when testing, and helping other clinicians build thriving practices and develop their own expertise.
